Petrol-engine models have boasted some of the best designs in automobile history. Classic and timeless; petrol engine automobiles are a true joy for any owner to behold. Sophisticated engineering and manufacturing meant classic petrol cars could offer something other diesel engines couldn't; fantastic mileage to the gallon and a smooth, quiet ride. Petrol engine automobiles were the cars of choice in the golden era of car manufacture. Simple and easy to drive; petrol automobiles offer understated sophistication and style to any driver. Driving a petrol-engine 1977 Ferrari 308GTB would make you the envy of everyone on the petrol forecourt or drive-in movie, while the petrol-engine 1958 Porsche Speedster meant you were always in the fast lane. Both models are still highly popular today, with a few of our own members even owning similar models. Other best-selling classic petrol automobiles include the 1965 Mercedes 190 Fintail, the 1973 Ferrari Dino 246 GT and the 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo. 1985 Ferrari Testarossa is easily one of the ICAA's favourite classic petrol cars. With eclectic paintwork, interiors and desirable bodywork; the 1985 Ferarri Testarossi represents one of the best automobiles from 1980s engineering. Priced at around £40,000 the vehicle might be pricey but it's definitely worth it.
